M.V. Osprey Ltd., located in Nova Scotia, Canada has awarded Tersan Shipyard in order to build their third arctic factory freezer trawler. The new vessel which will be named as “Northern Osprey III” is a Skipsteknisk design, ST118 type trawler having a length of 79,5 m and a beam of 17 m.
As Tersan Shipyard we are proud to be awarded with this milestone contract which is, for us, first from Canada. Innovative design by Skipsteknisk will enable this state-of-the-art freezer trawler vessel to safely sail and fish through harsh Baltic sea environments. The vessel which is designed on “Green Ship” basis will be able to reduce any pollute discharges and she will focus on the recovery and recycling of excess energy utmost.
