NB1106 VLADIMIR BIRYUKOV IS LAUNCHED

Tersan Shipyard has launched NB1106 Freezer Stern Trawler (w/ FACTORY) to be named Vladimir Biryukov built for OKEANRYBFLOT.

While the first vessel, named Georgiy Meshcheryakov, has completed the sea trials successfully and getting ready for the delivery, Tersan Shipyard has launched the sister vessel NB1106, which to be named VLADIMIR BIRYUKOV. The two vessels which are being constructed for Okeanrybflot company of Russia will be among the World’s largest purpose-built factory trawlers at their size and beam. They will trawl Alaska Pollock in the Sea of Okhotsk, as well as Herring, Mackerel and Pollock in the Pacific. The two sister vessels are arranged for pelagic and semi-pelagic trawling, using 2 main trawl winches working in combination with ice trawl gallows and 4 large pelagic sweep line drums.

Skipsteknisk designed vessels bare the dimensions of 108 x 20 meters with accommodation for up to the 150 people on board. They will be compatible with the conditions to work for a non-stop 11 months period time without returning to the port. They will fly Russian flag, and built under the supervision of RMRS class, including substantial ice reinforcements, reefer notation, and one-man bridge notation.
