TERSAN SHIPYARD PROUDLY DELIVERED NB1116 LEINEBRIS!

12.02.2026

Tersan Shipyard is delighted to announce the delivery of the advanced and environmentally conscious fishing vessel NB1116 named “Leinebris” to Norwegian Leinebris AS. Designed by Skipsteknisk, this remarkable vessel represents a major step forward in maritime innovation and sustainability. Building upon the success of the first Leinebris, which Tersan Shipyard proudly delivered in 2015, the new vessel continues the tradition with improved green solutions and state‑of‑the‑art technology. Leinebris is the first vessel ever to combine three distinct fishing methods; longlining, seining, and net fishing ; giving the skipper the flexibility to select the most efficient and eco‑friendly approach. Notably, the vessel also distinguishes itself as the longest longliner ever built, setting a new benchmark in fishing vessel design.

With a length of 67.3 meters and a beam of 15 meters, the vessel is powered by a diesel‑electric propulsion system. It is equipped with PUAU115 type azimuth and AR63 type retractable azimuth combi thrusters, ensuring superior maneuverability and redundancy. The steering arrangement includes BrunCon PTC and BrunCon JS with Position Hold, complemented by the Brunvoll Fishpilot system; all of which contribute to advanced navigation and operational precision.

Energy efficiency is further enhanced by a large battery pack and three diesel‑electric generator sets. Fully electric deck machinery and winches allow the vessel to maximize onboard energy production. RSW tanks provide the ability to transport live fish, ensuring freshness and premium quality of the catch. Leinebris is further distinguished by double cargo decks, sheltered working areas, and a moonpool designed for crew safety. With contemporary and spacious accommodation for up to 25 people, Leinebris offers excellent comfort standards alongside operational efficiency.
